I am currently a computer science PhD working with Prof. Pandey Prashant at Northeastern University DATA Lab, where I focus on high performance parallel data structures.
Previously I was a computer science BA/MS student at Boston University. I worked as an undergraduate research assistant at CASP Research Lab, where I worked on adaptive streaming systems.
Ongoing projects
-
Jasper: GPU accelerated approximate nearest neighbor search
I'm building Jasper, a fully updatable, GPU-native system for billion-scale vector search. It combines a GPU-optimized RaBitQ quantization scheme, a high-throughput tiled-loading strategy, and a incremental batch construction algorithm based on Vamana index to maximize GPU memory efficiency and query speed. With these techniques, Jasper achieves up to 1.93x faster queries than CAGRA while supporting real-time streaming updates.
-
Maplet for OLAP Hash Joins.
I'm exploring a new approach for building dynamic compact hash tables using the adaptive quotient filter (AQF) as Maplet. Unlike traditional min-perfect hashing methods—which are extremely compact but static and expensive to rebuild, Maplet leverages the AQF's fingerprint adaptivity to create a fast, updatable structure that can assign unique, collision-free indexes as keys are inserted.
